Responsibilities
The Education Officer will:
- Support the development and planning of education programmes.
- Research and analyse education data for programme planning and monitoring.
- Provide technical and administrative support throughout programme activities.
- Monitor programme implementation and identify issues requiring action.
- Participate in monitoring, evaluation and sector review activities.
- Monitor the use of programme resources and support donor reporting.
- Conduct field visits and assess programme progress.
- Provide technical support to government, NGOs and other education partners.
- Build partnerships with government institutions and national stakeholders.
- Support education advocacy, fundraising and resource mobilisation activities.
- Identify and share lessons learned and good practices.
- Contribute to capacity-building activities for education stakeholders.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should have:
- A university degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology or another relevant field.
- At least two years of professional experience in programme planning, management or education research.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic.
- Strong programme planning, monitoring and analytical skills.
- Experience working with government, NGOs or development partners.
- Good communication, partnership and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience in a UN organisation, humanitarian setting, fragile context or digital learning will be an advantage.
Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is also an advantage.
