About the Role
Generation Unlimited is a UNICEF global partnership focused on youth skills, employment, entrepreneurship, and livelihoods.
The consultant will provide creative and design support across GenU’s global communications. The work will include publications, pitch decks, proposals, digital campaigns, and events.
Key Responsibilities
The consultant will:
- Create high-quality visual materials for global meetings and events.
- Design reports, publications, pitch decks, and proposals.
- Develop creative materials for social media and websites.
- Support visual communications for special events.
- Create audience-friendly visuals for data and flagship publications.
- Adapt designs for different platforms, formats, and audiences.
- Maintain consistency with UNICEF and GenU brand guidelines.
- Apply logo and visibility requirements across communications materials.
- Coordinate design projects remotely and deliver products on schedule.
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in design, communications, marketing, innovation, social science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience leading multimedia graphic design and visual identity projects.
- Experience producing materials for publications, social media, and events.
- At least 2 years of experience working with international organizations or similar institutions.
- Experience supporting multi-partner or multi-country programmes.
- Strong multimedia design skills for digital and event platforms.
- Experience leading publication projects and presenting data through clear visuals.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Strong understanding of design practices for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Ability to maintain visual consistency across different formats.
- Strong project management and remote coordination skills.
Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is an advantage.
Experience with UNICEF or youth-focused programmes is desirable.
