About the Position
The position is part of the UNDP Joint Support Team supporting the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation (GPEDC).
The analyst will help implement the final year of the 2023-2026 GPEDC Work Programme. The role will also support planning for the 2027-2030 Work Programme.
Key Responsibilities
The Junior Programme Coordination Analyst will:
- Support concept notes, speaker invitations, biographies, moderation notes, and event materials.
- Take meeting minutes and track follow-up actions.
- Support GPEDC communications, website updates, press releases, and social media materials.
- Coordinate speaker outreach for advocacy events.
- Prepare planning and communications documents for major meetings and forums.
- Support event logistics and stakeholder communications.
- Help implement the GPEDC Advocacy and Outreach Plan.
- Support reporting from the fourth GPEDC monitoring round.
- Draft progress stories, blogs, briefs, and summaries of country-level activities.
- Help update more than 100 GPEDC country pages.
- Support side events, meetings, and advocacy opportunities around the effectiveness agenda.
- Prepare key messages and briefing materials for partners.
- Support other secretariat and coordination activities as required.
Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following education requirements:
- A Master’s degree in public administration, public policy, international relations, international development, economics, business administration, social sciences, or a related field.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus at least 2 years of qualifying professional experience.
Applicants with a relevant Master’s degree do not need prior professional experience.
Relevant experience or knowledge includes:
- Programme coordination and management.
- Development cooperation and aid effectiveness.
- Policy research and analysis.
- Drafting policy briefs and communication materials.
- Administrative and organizational coordination.
- Communications and outreach.
- Multi-stakeholder partnerships.
- Conference and workshop organization.
- Work in developing-country settings.
- Knowledge of GPEDC is an advantage.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Applicants should demonstrate strong teamwork, organization, communication, cultural sensitivity, and adaptability.
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of French or Spanish is an advantage.
Tiered Application Approach
