Key Responsibilities
The Medical Supervisor will:
- Oversee clinical operations at the Cholera Treatment Unit.
- Supervise doctors, nurses, community health workers and other clinical staff.
- Ensure proper cholera case management and patient care.
- Monitor infection prevention and control measures.
- Review clinical records and treatment outcomes.
- Manage surveillance, data collection and outbreak reporting.
- Monitor medicines, medical supplies and equipment.
- Support emergency response and outbreak preparedness.
- Coordinate with health authorities and humanitarian partners.
- Provide mentoring and technical support to CTU staff.
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- An MBBS degree.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in humanitarian healthcare or health facility supervision.
- Experience in emergency response and outbreak management.
- Experience working with Ministry of Health structures.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong leadership, supervision and decision-making skills.
- Fluency in English.
Knowledge of a local language and additional health-related certifications will be an advantage.
