The FAC Residential Coordinator position is within the Embassy Abuja Facilities Maintenance Section.
Available Position
FAC Residential Coordinator
The FAC Residential Coordinator will coordinate Facilities Maintenance resources supporting the General Services Office and Regional Security Office. The role focuses on ensuring that residential quarters provided to Embassy Abuja staff meet applicable Department of State requirements and standards.
The position reports directly to the Facility Manager (FM).
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Coordinate FAC resources supporting residential facilities.
- Help ensure that approximately 160 residential units meet required standards.
- Coordinate with the FAC Residential Maintenance Supervisor.
- Work with the FAC POSHO Assistant on relevant residential matters.
- Coordinate with GSO Housing and GSO Property.
- Work with the RSO Residential Security Coordinator.
- Support the maintenance and management of Embassy residential quarters.
- Coordinate resources and activities related to residential facility requirements.
- Assist with planning and managing relevant projects and meetings.
- Maintain effective communication with relevant Embassy personnel.
Eligibility
Applicants should meet the following basic eligibility requirements:
- Completion of secondary school or high school.
- At least three years of responsible experience in administration and/or building trades.
- Fluent English speaking, reading and writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively with different stakeholders.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to drive a U.S. Government sedan.
Requirements
Candidates should have:
- Knowledge of residential facility management procedures.
- Understanding of residential maintenance concepts.
- Mid-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to manage projects.
- Ability to plan and coordinate meetings.
- Good customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate tactfully in person, by email and by phone.
- Ability to work effectively with the relevant Facilities Maintenance, General Services and Regional Security teams.
