This is to officially notify all prospective candidates seeking admission into the University of Ibadan (UI) that the institution’s admission portal will be opened for Post-UTME and Direct Entry registration for the 2026/2027 academic session from Monday, 22nd June, 2026 to Sunday, 19th July, 2026.
Candidates who selected the University of Ibadan as their preferred institution during the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 200 marks and above are eligible to participate in the UI Post-UTME screening exercise.

Payment Instructions for UTME and Direct Entry Candidates
All candidates are required to complete registration through the official University of Ibadan Admission Portal:
https://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng
Applicants should log in using:
- Username: JAMB Registration Number (Example: 202412345678EG)
- Password: Candidate’s Surname in uppercase (Example: OYESANMI, CHIBUZOR, UMAR)
After successful login, candidates are expected to proceed with payment.
Official Fees Payable
The following charges apply:
- Portal Access Fee – ₦3,000
- Screening Fee – ₦2,000
All payments must be completed strictly through the University Admission Portal.
Available Payment Options
Candidates may use any of the following payment channels:
1. Card Payment
Use an active debit or credit card (ATM card) to complete payment online.
2. Bank Transfer
Transfer directly using internet banking or approved online banking channels.
3. Bank Branch Payment
Generate a payment slip through the portal and make cash payment at designated bank branches.
After successful payment, candidates should print and keep their Payment Success Receipt as evidence of registration.
University of Ibadan Post UTME Examination Date 2026
The University of Ibadan Post-UTME Examination for 2026/2027 admission is scheduled to hold from:
Monday, 27th July, 2026 to Wednesday, 29th July, 2026
Candidates are encouraged to begin preparation early to improve their performance during the screening exercise.

General Admission Requirements and Important Information
Candidates should carefully note the following admission conditions:
Age Requirement
Any candidate who will not attain the age of sixteen (16) years by 30 September 2026 may not be cleared for admission into the University.
O’Level Requirements
Candidates applying for admission into:
- College of Medicine
- Faculty of Pharmacy
must possess five (5) credit passes at one sitting in relevant O’Level subjects.
For candidates applying to other faculties and departments:
- Applicants presenting two sittings must possess at least six (6) credits in relevant subjects.
Accepted examination bodies include:
- WAEC
- NECO
- Cambridge Advanced Level
- NCE
- ND
- HND
- Degree Certificates from recognised institutions
Candidates should note carefully that the University of Ibadan does not accept IJMB and JUPEB for Direct Entry admission.
